"Waking Up from Under the Covers"
This image is to compensate for the "just to make the quota" image yesterday. It was morning and my dog was rummaging under the sheets (she likes sleeping completely covered, unless it's a very warm night). She was just coming out because she knows it's morning and I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped this while she was just poking out. She looked surprised to see me there. I used a soft focus effect on this image in Picasa later (think Lensbabies) to emphasize the subject and to get rid of distracting elements.

This was shot during a walkaround. I'd thought I'd post this because I like the angle and I just love the bright and strong colour. The sign looks large, bold, and menacing here but in reality it's small, less than 25, maybe even 20cm wide.

I love the serenity of this picture of my dog. The shallow (for a compact) depth of field in the back gives it a more soothing effect. This is one of the few fill flash photos that turned out great (IMO).
