Anthony Yong > For this image I wanted to create a contrast of both worlds, the modern world represented by the Wall Centre to the left, and the old world, represented by the church to the right. I wanted to close the cap between the buildings but there was lighting limitations, as the sun was directly in the frame, and the camera could not lower the exposure any further. In fact in the upper left corner, I used a piece of card to shield the sun. I later warmed the image and cloned the card away.
Anthony Yong > Personally I love the colour, but I cheated. This was boosted a bit in Photoshop Elements.
Anthony Yong > This I made when getting close to the Wall Centre. I tried as much as possible to include the spires on the ground in the image, but a compact camera can only go so wide.
Anthony Yong > A similar shot to the wider one, but zoomed closer (not a crop), and I noticed the colour and exposure is slightly different. The power lines still find their way into the image!
Anthony Yong > This shot I made about a block down and across the street near St. Paul's Hospital. The building looks like it's glowing! The buildings on the sides flanking it also add to the image. The part I hate the most about the image are the power lines running across the image.
Anthony Yong > A shot of the roof of St. Paul's Hospital. I like this better than a wider shot because of the tighter zoom that accents the details that you don't notice on a wider angle.
